According to bdnews24, General Officer Commanding of Jessore area Maj Gen Rafiqul Islam and pilot Lt Col Ishtiaq Shahid were killed in a helicopter crash at Kalihati in Tangail on Monday, said police.
"The chopper went down into a ditch next to Roha Primary School," district police chief Abdul Mannan told bdnews24.com.
Another officer, named as Maj Saif, was injured and has been taken to Dhaka Combined Military Hospital.
The aircraft was on its way to Jessore from Dhaka when it crashed at around 8am.
